Beware! Stay away from Zeno's!

I had the chance to experience the disgusting food and atmosphere at Zeno?s Italian Restaurant recently. I had not been to the location, which was once a Godfather?s Pizza in years. To my disappointment it was a terrible experience. I made the mistake of taking my wife and kids with the expectation of enjoying so called ?Italian Cuisine?. What a joke. First of all let me add that this is not an ?Italian? restaurant in the first place. The current owner/manager is actually of Arabic decent. I guess to the locals in the county, they can?t seem to tell the difference? The same situation exists in Pembroke, a few miles down the road from Lumberton with their Michael?s ?Italian? restaurant. You got the exact same situation, also Arabic, actually from Lebanon, running an ?Italian? restaurant. Michael?s location was once the old Hardees restaurant for decades. The run down old building was once rumored to be set for demolition, but then the next thing you know it was Michael?s Italian Restaurant. The food and service there are equally disgusting. Another odd similarity between the two imposter ?Italian? restaurants is the apparent problem with vermin. I had noticed one of them crawling along the floor along side of the wall not far from where we were seated. By the time I noticed the critter, I was already so disgusted with the food that I just accepted it as part of the package. To sum it up, if you are traveling in the Lumberton area and have a taste for authentic Italian food, then you should stay as far away from Zeno?s as you possibly can. I have purchased better Italian food from the freezer section in Food Lion than from this joke of a restaurant. I wouldn?t give the garbage they serve in that place to my dog.
